On the banks of the Loire, just opposite the island of Nantes, you can access an area by the bridge of the three continents which will be marked by a great evolution. The area is now marked by the Transfer site, located north of Rezé within the ZAC Pirmil-les-îles in full transformation. Indeed, new residential and office buildings will be built to accommodate some six thousand new inhabitants.
Acting as the eastern boundary of this ZAC, Boulevard Victor Schoelcher is a continuation of the Three Continents Bridge and hosts a new tram line. The industrial area populated by depots and company hangars is thus endowed with a veritable hub for multipolar mobility. It is this very urban character that we wish to support with the establishment of tram stations, Navi-bus and Bicloo near the bridge. These public facilities are located according to the logic of an urban pier facing the Loire.
A system of bleachers extends the Navibus station. This station is framed by a belvedere that looks like a signal clock and the bridge of the three continents. This space is intended to be appropriated by sitting on the bleachers, eating lunch or stopping to chat in the company of a landscape on the island of Nantes and the Loire. This pier continues inland to reach a public squarewhere the Wilson is located, a restaurant in the heart of the industrial zone. Soil work is carried out to allow the best articulation of car parks, green spaces and new uses in the area.
On the principle of transitional town planning, we wish to set up premises for associations to energize the central axis, a media library to promote access to culture as well as a solidarity café in relation to a permanent garage sale and rental/repair of bicycles in connection with the “Loire à vélo”.
