The site is located in Nantes, on the island of Beaulieu in Wattignies, and is home to former industrial buildings. It is on this site that the district and the project that we realized, just next to the streetcar stop Wattignies and gymnasium Mangin, are established. The imagined district is totally pedestrian, parking lots are placed underground under some of the projects. The district hosts various activities, mainly housing but also shops and offices.
To the south, there is a promenade along the valley that borders the neighborhood. The parking lot is semi-buried and creates a raised street in the middle of the project. It is connected to the public space by stairs that can accommodate many uses.
The project is developed in a wood frame and follows a precise grid. It has a semi-buried parking lot and the circulation is made by corridors. The corridors are used for many purposes, creating common spaces for the inhabitants, storage spaces, and semi-private spaces in front of the entrance to the dwellings, creating an entrance threshold.
